I started Have Music Will Travel on a professional basis in January 1997. Since then, I have played music for over 300 events , from tailgate parties with the Nashville Kats cheerleaders to sweet sixteen parties, Class Reunions and Wedding Receptions at the Cheek Wood Pineapple Room.  For 6 years I was the weekly Disc Jockey for the Nashville BeBop Association; a membership social/dance club. Previously I played for the NBA for 4 years, usually on a monthly basis. Beginning in 1999 I was in charge of the sound and part of the DJ work for the clubs' annual  weekend at various State Park Conference Halls.  We entertained and played dance music for over 300 people for over 18 hours. For the last 5 years I have combined my music equipment with The Nashville Swing Dance Club and set up the sound for their New Years' Dance at the Cool Springs Marriott. 

I am now the weekly DJ for The Nashville Dance Club and have taught at the 1st United Methodist Church in Franklin and The Community Church in Hendersonville for group dance lessons and in many homes for private lessons helping clients get ready for their first dance as husband and wife. 

I believe in having a great variety in music (over 6,000 songs) and 3 different state of the art music playback systems to be prepared to satisfy the different taste and needs of my clients. This allows me to play for a group of 30 or 300 and have the quality and volume specifically for your need.  This allows a client with a small event to have music that sounds good without having to pay for the equipment a large ballroom would require. Ballrooms are no problems either, we can rattle the windows if you like. I can also monitor the sound volume level with a db device, so that you or your guest will not have ear damage after they leave your event. I do not play music with explicit words that would be inappropriate for an event's participants.

I meet with you in person and can be a partner in the selection of music, help plan the events' agenda, and direct the event as Master of Ceremonies.  As a Beginners Ballroom Dance Instructor I can get you or your party ready to "Dance At Your Wedding" or teach a line dance to the guest at your event.
